Veniamin Kondratyev: state support for the region’s vineyards and winemakers has risen to 1.3 billion rubles since 2020

The development of viticulture and winemaking in the region is being discussed at a regional meeting in Temryuk district hosted by the Governor of the Krasnodar region.

«Viticulture and winemaking have become an integral part of our region’s image. Therefore, we provide significant government support to the sector. Since 2020, overall support has increased from 750 million to almost 1.3 billion rubles this year. Importantly, small and medium-sized farms also receive support. Over five years, the number of licensed farm wineries has grown from 9 to 45,» said Veniamin Kondratyev.

Agricultural companies can use state support funds to cover costs related to planting new vineyards, maintenance of plantations, installation of trellises, reclamation works, and purchase of modern processing equipment.

Vice-Governor Andrey Korobka noted that government support encourages active business investment.

«In the past five years, direct investments have reached 14 billion rubles. Currently, nine major winemaking projects are underway in the region, with a combined investment of over 12 billion rubles,» said Andrey Korobka.

In the past five years, wineries such as Skalistyy Bereg, Chateau Andre, Russian Terroir, Sukhaya Gora, and Azovskie Igristye have been built in Kuban. In the coming years, wine production will begin at Maryina Roscha in Gelendzhik, Usadba Belaya Dacha in Novorossiysk, and Terroir Invest in Anapa.
