This was discussed during the meeting of the Governor with representatives of business circles of Germany in Sochi. Wolfgang Bьchel, a Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, participated in it.
During the meeting, it was discussed how a number of major projects are being implemented. First of all, the CLAAS Concern and the KNAUF Group of Companies, which have localized their production in the region, gain strategic advantages in the market of Russia and the CIS countries.
The region is also ready to offer the German companies five large production sites equipped with the necessary infrastructure, including in industrial parks, and the development of a production cluster based on the CLAAS plant is in the near future.
The Head of the Region noted that Germany is among the countries that are most actively investing in the Kuban economy. Over the past three years, mutual commodity turnover amounted to about 600 million USD, of which more than 90% falls on the import of goods from Germany.
In turn, Wolfgang Bьchel noted that in two years the German enterprises had made significant investments in the Kuban economy and they intend to follow this way in the future.
Taking into consideration the close and promising cooperation, Veniamin Kondratyev proposed to establish the German Trade House in the region.
