Veniamin Kondratyev: Krasnodar Region exports reach record levels

The governor spoke to journalists about the region’s foreign trade turnover for 2025.

«Exports of goods from the Krasnodar Region have reached record levels. In 2025, our region became the leader in the Southern Federal District, accounting for 46% of the district’s trade turnover. Total trade turnover for the year increased by more than 10%, while exports rose by 20%. Products from the Krasnodar Region are in high demand on foreign markets. We have strengthened our position in several key areas: we are seeing the greatest export growth to China, Egypt, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan. Turkey, India, and Belarus are also among the countries showing upward trends. What’s more, almost 64% of total exports now consist of highly processed goods,» said Veniamin Kondratyev.

In terms of non-resource non-energy export volumes, the Krasnodar Region ranked 5th in Russia for the first time in 2025. Overall, the region achieved record figures and rose to 9th place among federal subjects of Russia, also for the first time.

The metallurgy sector made a significant contribution, with figures doubling, while the pharmaceutical and perfume and cosmetics sectors demonstrated strong growth, increasing by over 37%. In industrial agriculture, fish and seafood, as well as meat and dairy products, emerged as the leading categories.

Last year, the Krasnodar Region traded with 172 countries and exported goods to 139 of them. The region supplies meat and offal, vegetables, and oilseeds to China; ferrous metal products and cereals to Egypt; fats, animal and vegetable oils, sugar, and fertilisers to Turkey, India, and Azerbaijan; and dairy products, confectionery, and chemicals to Kazakhstan. To Belarus, the region supplies fruit, nuts, cereals and their processed products, plastic goods, paper, and electrical machinery and equipment.
