Veniamin Kondratyev: 350+ manufacturers from Russia and abroad took part in the UMIDS-2024 international exhibition

Today marks the start of an exhibition featuring furniture, interior items, materials, and components as well as woodworking and furniture production equipment in Krasnodar.

«We are hosting one of the largest industry exhibitions in Russia for the 26th time. This year, over 350 companies from Russia and Belarus, Germany, China, Turkey, and other countries are taking part in it. The Krasnodar Territory is represented by more than 60 companies. The furniture and woodworking industries are the key areas for the development of our industrial sector, with over 400 regional manufacturers producing top-quality raw materials, components, and final products,» said the Governor of the region Veniamin Kondratyev.

The head of the region mentioned that Kuban is responsible for producing a wide range of goods used in schools, hospitals, cultural centers, sports facilities, and hotels. In the first two months of this year, the production of woodworking enterprises has nearly doubled, while furniture manufacturers have increased their output by almost 1.4 times compared to the same period last year.

The international exhibition UMIDS-2024 takes place from April 3 to 6 in Krasnodar’s Expograd Yug Exhibition and Convention Center. At this event, over 60 manufacturers from Kuban are present, with 27 showcasing their products at the joint booth of the Krasnodar Territory, organized by the Ministry of Industrial Policy and the Regional Industry Development Fund. Furniture, food, commercial equipment, textiles, and wooden tableware are on display.
