Trade turnover between Kuban and Turkey increased by 6.4%

From January to September inclusive, trade turnover between the Krasnodar Territory and Turkey increased by 6.4% compared to the same period last year. According to the RBC Krasnodar news agency, citing the vice-governor of Kuban Alexander Ruppel, officials forecast further positive dynamics and growth of the indicator, despite inflation and sanctions.

Exports of Kuban goods to Turkey increased by 9.7% (with a decrease in the regional total exports in 2023 by 12%), imports — by 2.2% (with a decrease of 5%). Exports of Kuban cereals to Turkey accounted for the largest share (43.8 per cent), increasing by 2.4 per cent. Deliveries of mineral fuels increased by 35.8%, which is 25.1% of the total commodity structure of Kuban's exports. The most significant increase was 95.5% in deliveries of finished animal feed, which is 6% of all goods. At the same time, deliveries of ferrous metals and fats and oils decreased by 5.2% and 62.1% respectively.

Fruit and nuts account for the largest share of the Republic of Turkey’s supplies to the region (44.3%). At the same time, their imports decreased by 6%. Vegetables take the second place in supplies to Kuban — 10% (+ 19.2%), reactors, boilers and equipment rank third in supplies— 7.6% (+ 36.2%). The largest increase was in the supply of oilseeds and fruits (+112%), as well as plastics and plastic items (+57.5%).
