Oksana Lut and Veniamin Kondratyev open the YUGAGRO-2025 International Agricultural Exhibition

Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut and Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratyev welcomed participants to the country's largest exhibition of technology, equipment, and materials for industrial agriculture. The event is being held at the Expograd-Yug centre in Krasnodar.

«YUGAGRO is the largest exhibition of production assets for crop farming, which is our main industry. Since the cost of components is constantly rising, it is essential to enhance the technological efficiency of production assets, mechanisation, plant protection, fertilisers, and seeds. Russia must address the cost of crop production to ensure that food products are affordable for citizens and to maintain the country’s competitiveness in the global market. I am confident that all participants of the event will find new and useful information that will help them improve their efficiency and profitability. I am also sure that the manufacturers of agricultural machinery will enhance their technologies in the interests of industrial agriculture and the Krasnodar Region in particular,» said Oksana Lut.

In 2025, the exhibition brought together 600 leading manufacturers, including Russian companies and representatives from Turkey, China, India, Spain, the Czech Republic, and other countries. The Krasnodar Region is represented by nineteen enterprises.

«This has been a tough year for Kuban farmers, but we still won the battle for the harvest: despite the drought in the northern areas of the region, we harvested 11.3 million tonnes of grain. This is partly due to the fact that the region's industrial agriculture is becoming more technologically advanced. With the support of the government and the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Kuban farmers have purchased about 7,000 units of large agricultural machinery worth over 99 billion roubles over the past five years,» said Veniamin Kondratyev.

Scientists from the Krasnodar Region also presented their achievements in the field of breeding and seed production at YUGAGRO. Kuban fields are currently 100% sown with domestic seeds of winter crops and rice, 50% with corn and sunflowers, and 15% with sugar beets.

The exhibition will run until 21 November. The business programme will feature conferences, round tables discussions, seminars, presentations, and master classes.
