This marks the first business event of its kind with the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.
«Algeria is one of the most promising markets for the Krasnodar Region, offering opportunities to expand its foreign trade relations. Last year, exports of Kuban products to Algeria almost doubled. The North African region is emerging as an important hub for reoriented non-resource non-energy exports. Our grain crops, ferrous metals, plastics, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are most popular with North African countries. Our current business mission is to promote these product groups,» said Vasily Vorobiov, Acting Head of the Department of Business Development and Foreign Economic Activity of the Krasnodar Region.
The delegation consisted of four Kuban companies specialising in the production of agricultural products, such as flour, bran, cereals, legumes, oilseeds, soybeans, popcorn, as well as household chemicals, motor oils and antifreeze. The primary objective of the visit was to promote Kuban products in the Algerian market and to establish direct connections with potential international partners.
