In 2024, Kuban Fanagoria supplied a trial batch of wines to Mongolia

Fanagoria, the biggest producer of estate-bottled wines of the Krasnodar region, supplied a trial batch of wines to Mongolia, as reported by the winery general manager Peter Romanishin.

«We are pleased to share that we have supplied a small pilot batch of wines to Mongolia. We are looking forward to receiving feedback from Mongolian consumers and exploring the possibility of repeat orders. Moreover, we have delivered a trial batch to Uzbekistan. Fanagoria conducts regular supplies to Kazakhstan, with our products being available through various networks and distribution channels. Negotiations are underway for the potential supply of wines to Kyrgyzstan and Abkhazia», Romanishin confirmed.

In addition to these markets, Fanagoria supplies wines to China on an annual basis, with a volume of approximately 800 thousand bottles. Over the past few years, shipments to the Chinese market have increased annually by 5–10 per cent. This growth is attributed to the expansion of sales channels and an increase in partners, as shared by the general director of the winery.

The demand for red dry and semi-sweet wines remains strong in China, but there is a great prejudice against the consumption of sparkling wines, as well as carbonated water. However, sparkling wines have gained significant consumer appreciation in Kazakhstan.

According to a report by RBC Krasnodar, the Krasnodar region’s wine production from January to August 2024 amounted to 144 million liters, marking a 12 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2023. Meanwhile, the production of beer and beer-based beverages in Kuban showed a notable 24.7 per cent growth, reaching 152 million liters.
