Basel Aero plans to carry out the reconstruction of the airport in Gelendzhik. Currently, its cost is estimated to be 500 million rubles.
Designing of the new airport terminal building with an area of 5.5 thousand square meters is planned to start within of the reconstruction of the airport in Gelendzhik in near future. Basel Aero will be able to specify reconstruction terms only after the completion of the designing and approval of the project. However, the company has already calculated an approximate amount of the investments in the new terminal – it will be about 500 million rubles.
After the reconstruction, the terminal capacity will be increased by more than 2 times, from 140 to 300 passengers per hour.
The Basel Aero Company was founded in 2007. It controls Basel’s airport assets. Since June, 2012, it has been established a joint venture of Basel, Sberbank of Russia and Changi Airports International. Currently, the company includes airports in Krasnodar, Sochi, Gelendzhik and Anapa.
