Kuban enterprise plans to export sweets to Iran and Estonia

Kuban confectionery company Elza is planning to sign export agreements with Iran in August and September 2023. The company also plans to export sweets to Estonia, said the Elza’s director Tamerlan Kazakov.

«In June, we went to Iran to the international exhibition of products, technologies and equipment for food and agricultural industry IranAgroFood and now we are negotiating. I think the first contracts will be signed in the couple of months,» he said.

In addition to cooperation with Iran, negotiations are currently underway to establish the supply of sweets to Estonia.

«Now, we have a contract with Estonia. We had some issues at the preliminary stage due to the current situation, but the partners are interested in our company,» said the head of the Elza confectionery company.

He confirmed that they had planned to expand cooperation with EU countries, but now they are more focused on cooperation with friendly countries, such as Mongolia.

The greatest demand among foreign customers is for products with a shelf life of 3 months or more, the company director stressed. He attributed this to the fact that it is risky to sell sweets with a short shelf life abroad because of a long logistics chain.
