Kuban winemaker awarded an International Award in Great Britain

Leonid Fadeev, Executive Director of OJSC «Rocky shore», was included on the list of laureates of the prestigious wine award WSET/IWSC «The Future 50 Awards».

The world largest wine school with a headquarters in London «Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET)» and the oldest international wine contest «International International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC)» (Great Britain) merged together to commemorate their 50th anniversaries in order to launch «The Future 50», a new initiative aimed at determining the next generation of professionals in the area of wine and alcoholic beverages. «The Future 50» award-winners are 50 young talented representatives of wine industry across the globe.

More than six hundred candidates for this award were nominated by experts. Leonid Fadeev, a sole representative from Russia, was among fifty finalists.

Candidates for «The Future 50» award were appraised by the international jury that incorporated the most authoritative representatives in wine profession, including masters of wine and sommelier masters. The main requirements imposed to the candidates for award were age up to 40 and outstanding merits in one’s area.

Leonid Fadeev is the Executive director of winery «Rocky shore», wine academician, creator of Vine&Wine project and wine contest «Russian Wines Competition». At present Leonid follows the training program in the Institute of wine masters (Great Britain). In June 2019 he successfully passed the first out of three exams for the receipt of the most prestigious title in wine expertise – wine master. Currently, there 390 wine masters in the world and not a single yet from Russia.       

OJSC «Rocky shore» was established in 2010. The construction of a cutting-edge winery of gravitational type for release of premium-class wines under Cote Rocheuse brand name is under way now in the municipal formation resort-city Anapa of Krasnodar region. The completion of the construction is planned for the year 2020. The expected capacity of the future enterprise is around 300 thousand bottles per year.
