A Presentation of Resorts of the Krasnodar Region Was Held at the XVth Forum of Interregional Cooperation Between Kazakhstan and Russia
The region is among the top three by tourist flow in the country. More than 15.6 million guests have already visited Kuban this year.
The sanatorium-and-health-resort and tourist complex is a driver for the development of the entire Krasnodar Region, the Head of the relevant regional Ministry, Christopher Konstantinidi, said. Almost all the main directions of tourism – beach and sea, sanatorium, recreational, cultural, educational, business and event, mountain climatic and agrarian kinds of tourism – are represented in Kuban.
- This year alone, resorts in the Krasnodar Region received more than 15.6 million tourists. This is by 6% more than in the same period last year. We predict a tourist flow to be at least 16 million people for the year, – the Minister said.
106 tour operators, 159 excursion organizations and 385 travel agencies work in the region. There are programs that promote the development of year-round recreation, in particular, the «Southern Health Resort» and the «Rest Overlooking Mountain». Over 190 sanatoriums, boarding houses and balneological health centers offer their services, and 140 of them work year-round.
The largest number of health centers is concentrated in the Anapa, Gelendzhik, Sochi and Tuapse Districts. They use more than 500 unique rehabilitation programs using therapeutic mud and mineral water of local origin.
Since last year, work is underway to create enogastronomic tours. The regional wine route «Yantarnaya Loza» has been developed and operates, which passes through the territories of three Municipal Formations – Novorossiysk, Anapa and Gelendzhik – and includes visits to agricultural tourism facilities specializing in the enogastronomic direction.
In general, the region has more than 100 objects of agricultural tourism in 24 Municipal Formations. Most of them are multifunctional enterprises specializing in providing services in several areas of rural tourism.
